The Role Sandvik is looking for a dedicated and skilled Product Specialist to join our Surface Drills team in Perth, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality technical support and for developing the technical competencies of our customers and internal personnel for Sandvik products.
This role is a full-time requirement; however, Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options.
Areas of Responsibility Provide on-site technical assistance to resolve issues. Develop customer relationships to ensure customers have a positive experience and remain loyal to the Sandvik brand. Provide technical training to the service network on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices. Provide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel in cases of complex technical issues. Provide relevant feedback to Technical Support Managers and relevant Factory Product Engineering to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation. Assist in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements. Review spare parts recommendations with Parts BLM organization. Provide information on the accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC). Investigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the Warranty Analyst. Your Profile Relevant Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent). Post-trade experience of at least 7 years in Mining and in a similar role. Expert knowledge and experience with Blast hole drills, platform drills. Experience working in remote locations and understanding different cultural dynamics. Experience in the delivery of technical training to maintenance personnel and operators. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to travel internationally without restrictions (Europe, USA, NZL, PNG). Flexibility and adaptability in response to organizational and operational change.
