The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our new, state of the art workshop in Kenwick. The focus of this role will be to carry out high voltage electrical installs, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on Sandvik equipment while maintaining availability and minimising costs.
Install, repair, inspect and commission 1000-volt systems to customer specifications. Perform fault diagnosis, machine assembly, maintenance, and repair work on Sandvik's range of mining equipment. Repairs and maintenance to workshop equipment. Perform repair and fault finding using electrical schematics. Assessment, Overhaul and Repair of Flameproof enclosures to AS3800. Installation and testing of Intrinsically Safe circuits to AS2381.7. Responsible for planning, conducting, and maintaining tools and equipment for service work. Report and document results after above actions. Support the customer's product/equipment/processes by suggesting improvements. Proactive approach to site safety requirements. Abide by Safety and Environmental guidelines, Australian standards, and contractual requirements. AS3800 accreditation/experience would be advantageous. Strong customer service attitude as well as a drive and determination to achieve targets and goals. Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to positively influence others. Ability to pass pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing. Why you should work for Sandvik!
