We are now seeking candidates with the relevant skills and experience to support us with building 100 trams over the next couple of years. Valued at approximately €700 million, the contract includes supply of rolling stock and 15-year maintenance making this the biggest tram contract in Australia and in the Southern hemisphere.We are currently looking for experienced Sand Blasters to join our team.Key Responsibilities:Experienced Trade Assistant required to support the ramp of production in the paint shop supporting Sandblasting activities for Next Generation Trams Project.Looking for enthusiastic candidates who are punctual, reliable, safety process-driven, willing to learn, and have previous experience working in the rail industry.Daily Activities may involve:Supporting Tram Vehicle MovementsInterpreting Engineering Drawings to perform tasks to specificationOperating Sandblasting Hose/Plant to prepare interior/exterior body shell for Painting.Upskilling/Training to ensure you can safely perform your role.Helping other workstations to finish on time to keep the line moving.Undertaking 5S Improvements to add value to the business.Daily morning pre-starts to ensure all operators are clearly informed of their requirements each day.All about you:We value passion and attitude over experience and don't expect you to have every single skill - Fundamentals requirements are outlined below;Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.Ability to work in a team environment.An agile, inclusive, and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn, and advance in their careers.
