About the Role
ALS Environmental has a rare opportunity for a Full Time Field Technician to join our team based out of our Stafford Office, Brisbane QLD. This position is working to support prestigious clients and requires a highly motivated individual with an eagerness to learn. In return, we will invest immediately in your formal and on-the-job development, providing training access to first aid, 4WD & defensive driver courses, and on-the-job training of our testing methods and sampling protocols.

The successful applicant will be responsible for completing field sampling services for our clients in Southeast QLD. The role offers sampling experience across several different sectors including Health, Aquatic, and Trade Waste Industries.
The day to day
Your role may include:
Leaving our Stafford office in a company vehicle to visit sitesCompleting pre-agreed sampling requirements around SEQRecording samples for our clients and laboratory's visibilityDelivering samples to our Sample Receipt team in our Stafford laboratory to progress testingIdentifying opportunities to expand or improve our clients' experience and scope, from on-the-ground observations and insights.Assisting in other laboratory sections as required.No two days are the same, visiting and gathering a range of samples using learned techniques, in diverse and varied landscapes and locations around QLD with true trust and autonomy, making a difference to our clients' commercial and environmental decisions to support local communities.
Responsibilities include: Adhering to all safety requirements and Journey Management processesDriving light vehicles, occasionally off-roadCalibration and Maintenance of field equipmentCollection of samples from designated sample points.The Essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Field Experience is desired but not essential.A current manual driver's license.An eagerness to learn and a positive attitude.Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.Demonstrated attention to detail.Strong communication skills.Strong safety focus.About ALS
