We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis.Job DescriptionFull time, permanent position based in Dandenong South, VICGreat opportunity to join a Global Life Science company with ample room for growthExtra 1.5% superannuation offered on top of base rate.The Sample Splitting Officer is responsible for assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are appropriately received, logged, prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.Reporting to the Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Receiving and logging in samples accurately.Preparing samples for analysis by mixing, blending and weighing, in accordance with sample/analysis requirements and preparation methods.Performing routine analysis, validations and project work in an efficient and effective manner.Ensuring external and internal clients' requirements are met / exceeded.Ensuring efficient utilisation of laboratory materials.Operating, calibrating and maintaining equipment/instruments as required.Performing quality control tests.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience.Experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage.Experience working in a fast paced environment.Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel.Strong attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.Full working rights in Australia.On the job training will be provided, along with the use of our systems and programs.
