About the role We are currently looking for a Sample Preparer to join our Darwin Laboratory. Sample Preparers operate machinery to crush, split and pulverise raw mineral samples in a laboratory environment. Conditions can be dusty. The primary responsibilities of the role include: Sorting samples Weighing samples Drying samples Operating splitters and crushers Reporting sequential mineral samples for correct compliance requirements Following all Intertek policies and procedures, including regarding safety, production, quality and human resources Selection criteria The position would ideally suit an applicant with: Previous manual handling experience Communication, literacy and numeracy skills in English The ability to work as part of a team The ability to perform manual handling, stand for long periods and regularly lift 15 – 20kg safely Previous experience in Sample Preparation is highly regarded.
