Job Description 6 months fixed term with a potential extension Immediate start Based in Burleigh Heads Queensland As a Sample Preparation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all samples are appropriately receipted, sorted, prepared, packed and sent for analysis in a timely manner to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.
This autonomous role will focus on: Receipting samples from walk-ins Checking the PO Box for sample deliveries Ensuring client details and test requirements are correct Drying samples in ovens Grinding of soils & plant samples as required Adequately packing and organising courier pickups using an online portal Ensuring the courier deadlines are met Working in the fast-paced sample receipt and preparation area Ensuring samples are completed in a timely manner and correct methods, procedures and work instructions are adhered to Qualifications What we are looking for in individuals to join our team: Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks Ability to follow procedures with absolute attention to detail Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills Great organisational skills and ability to multi-task Able to be deadline focused Experience in a commercial sample preparation laboratory would be advantageous but not a requirement to be successful in this role. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (e.g., fast food / hospitality / warehouse) would be highly regarded.
