The Salesforce Education Cloud Technical Design Lead will provide design and thought leadership, maximizing the value from Education Cloud investments, and ensuring solutions encompass people, processes, and technology. This role requires identifying integrations and dependencies, establishing governance frameworks, and extensive business engagement, necessitating exceptional communication skills and a background in large-scale software engineering transformations.You will be responsible in: Working closely with product owners, solution architects, the platform architecture team and vendors to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development teams.Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements.Ensure alignment of Salesforce Education Cloud solution technical designs with a focus on delivery and innovation.Working with solution architects to ensure solution technical designs are in line with overall program solution architecture.Managing the documentation and communication of the Salesforce Education Cloud technical solution designs.Providing the most appropriate environments and designs to enable speed to value and business agility.Drive and document key Salesforce Education Cloud technical design decisions. Advise on the best use of the platform, discourage unnecessary customisation, and minimises technical debt.Define and recommend most suitable integration patterns and managed packages ensuring business and technical alignment.Directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews.You will come to us with: 5+ years enterprise-level experience as a Salesforce Tech Design Lead / Senior Developer with at least one Salesforce Industries Cloud, Omnistudio, Salesforce Community Cloud, building and designing of Omniscripts, Flexcards, Integration Procedures, Lightning Pages, Lightning Web Components, APIs, Apex, and triggers.Salesforce Industries, Sales, Service, Analytics, Experience Cloud experience.Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge and experience.Experience in understanding and applying offerings from Salesforce Industries Clouds (preferably Education Cloud).Experience in understanding and applying Salesforce Education data models (Education Data Architecture or Education Cloud).Track record of identification and recommendation of Salesforce based solutions and related implementation architecture enabling future scale-out.Proven ability to form deliverable and practical solutions, guiding Salesforce developers.Experience in an Agile/Scrum organisation working across multiple scrum teams.Strong analysis/elicitation/specification and workshop facilitation experience.Ability to work in small focused cross functional teams.Excellent consultancy skills, including communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Broad understanding of current and emerging technology and possible business applications.Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including people management & leadership.Maintains a positive attitude and continues to deliver consistent quality work in the face of challenging situations.Customer oriented, business outcomes focussed, self-starter.Ability to relate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
