The primary function is to provide and deploy services as a Sales Representative to Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd. (the client). Your primary focus of the Sales Representative is to communicate, execute and maintain model launch, promotions, product training, stock management, and merchandising standards across a network of stores. This role will also be supporting stores in selling directly to consumers at least one day per week.
You will have a strong eye for detail and a flair for visual design to ensure our product displays are optimized in the market. You will own and drive the relationship and value with the Retail Partner to secure additional presence and sales opportunities and provide consumer and store insights. In addition, you will own the delivery of effective product training to ensure the store staff understand the key features and benefits of Samsung CE products. Reporting & providing updates to the business are critical parts of the Sales Representative role. Understanding sales and revenue opportunities with the ability to clearly and confidently articulate them to internal and external parties will be a major factor in the success of a Sales Representative.
Within this role, you will be collaborative, positive, and dynamic, constantly seeking opportunities that will be mutually advantageous for your Retail Partner and Samsung. You must be self-driven and willing to work as a team and autonomously.
Job DescriptionResponsible for the delivery of the CE sales targets in their designated locationDevelop business strategies & plans based on sales, advocacy & display opportunitiesPromote products to store staff through demonstration, presentation, and instruction.Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of in-store displays and execution of the merchandising strategy including POS.Utilise reporting tools to keep stores updated on performance, identify areas of opportunity and negotiate outcomes to achieve objectives.Report business performance back to management & stakeholders.Demonstrate performance knowledge using business acumen both internally & externallyMaintain regular reporting of key metrics within the store including tracking of product displays, promotional activity compliance, and competitor activity in accordance with management requirements and company proceduresAssist stores during 'Store Placement' days to actively sell to Shoppers on the shop floor.Assist in any store events, VIP visits, or training nights as requiredImplement and maintain merchandising standards across the Samsung CE suite of products, driving the relationship and value for the Retail Partner to secure additional presence and sales opportunitiesAssist in flooring of new and existing products to maintain Samsung's planograms and in-store share of space.Ensure pricing and product displays are compliant with Samsung merchandising standardsIdentify and win opportunities in-store by leveraging store relationships and Samsung product benefits to increase the share of space within storesDeliver tailored product training to ensure store staff understand the key features and benefits of Samsung CE products, enabling them to proactively deliver the Samsung technology story and convert customer engagements into salesBuild and nurture relationships with store staff that establishes Samsung as a preferred partnerRepresent the Samsung brand, presenting yourself professionally and with passionEnsure high levels of customer service to stores through management and communicationOther duties as required and instructed by managementBuild and maintain close relationships with store staff and ensure high levels of customer service through timely communication and follow up.Desired Skills and ExperienceQualifications: 2-5 years' experience within a retail or reseller environment essentialTertiary education including Diploma (bachelor's degree preferred) in business, marketing or communications, highly desirable but not essentialSkills and Capabilities: Proven and successful experience at developing relationshipsExperience with using multiple forms of information to hit sales targetsProven merchandising experience within the technology industry highly regardedProven sales-related customer engagement experience with demonstrated KPI resultsTrack record in constructive confrontation and conflict managementA self-starter with exceptional people skills and an influencing style, you may have gained experience working in diverse multi-cultural backgroundsAdvanced understanding and knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SmartsheetExperience in consumer electronics or a related field is a significant advantageA Valid driver's license and registered motor vehicle.
