Our client is a professional supplier of Food Ingredients and Processing and Packaging machinery to the Food Processing and Packaging industries throughout Australia and New Zealand.At this time, we are seeking an experienced Sales Person to promote a range of ingredients to existing customers and new business prospects across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and New Zealand.Your duties will include but not be limited to: Maintaining regular face-to-face contact and communications with your existing client base, whilst at the same time promoting new products and upselling your product range.Developing new business through proactive activities such as:Leveraging off existing machinery and ingredients clients.Effective social media networking.Attending industry trade shows.Following up on trade show and website leads.Market mapping your territory and making contact with prospects either directly or via LinkedIn connections.Positioning yourself as an industry specialist by providing technical expertise and exhibiting a strong knowledge of your client's industry.Providing accurate quotations and presenting your offering professionally at all levels of business.The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate all or most of the following skills and qualifications:You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the ingredients sector.You are familiar with flavours, spices, herb extracts, colours, and food ingredients.A degree in food technology or related discipline would be highly advantageous.You have proven business development and account management skills and can evidence the same.This will be a key role within the business, so we are seeking an industry professional who is driven by success, proactive, and possesses a strong business acumen.On offer is a great base salary, commissions, company vehicle, and the opportunity to work in an autonomous position within a national company.If this sounds like you, please apply now or call Bruce Duxbury on for a confidential discussion.
