Welding Solutions is an industry leader in water truck and tipper truck design and manufacturing with a reputation for quality, product innovation and excellent customer service. Our customers include Australia's largest Mining, Civil and Plant Hire customers serviced from our dedicated production and parts supply facility located in Bibra Lake. The Sales Representative role is essential in ensuring Welding Solutions is always front of mind for both existing and future customers for water trucks, Tipper Trucks and spare parts. Position Overview The Sales Representative/Consultant is essential to the continued growth of Welding Solutions, and we are currently seeking a very customer focused team member able to identify and develop new customers and work closely with existing customers. Sales focus includes water trucks, tipper trucks, pressure washer trailers and the supply of all spare parts.
The successful candidate will be able to work closely with customers to help them better understand opportunities regarding what they need and what Welding Solutions can offer from initial discussions through to final product delivery and ongoing parts support. Focus also includes helping customers better understand the total cost of ownership based on value and not solely based on cost.
Being able to proactively work with external and internal stakeholders is essential to success and a measure of success will be growth of truck sales, new customer accounts, water trailer sales and parts sales.
It is expected that the role will include both local and national travel to key potential customer hubs to fully understand customer requirements including the Pilbara, the Goldfields in WA and the East Coast in the future as the customer base is further developed.
Key Responsibilities Work closely with existing and new customers to identify opportunities for the business. Prepare quotes for new truck builds and spare parts in a short timeframe based on customer requirements. Develop new and additional business for new truck builds, tank builds, trailer builds and develop the spare parts sales business to ensure support. Identify new opportunities, potential markets and customers for the business through market research, meetings and conversations with existing customers to enable development of greater market understanding. Constantly seek opportunities to develop and grow new customer accounts as well as maintaining and growing existing accounts. Meet sales performance goals and KPI's including monthly sales target, future new sales targets, spare parts support whilst ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop new leads for the supply of new water trucks, tipper trucks and pressure washer trailers. Conduct in person and telephone sales visits to customers and ensure that the CRM is updated. Manage leads, follow up to convert enquiries to sales and new accounts. Deal directly with customers and truck dealers, to manage standard products and specific custom builds. Hand-over of new vehicles, build rapport with existing clients to ensure repeat business. Plan regional and interstate business development trips. Maintain CRM system and customer contact information. Skills and experience Must be self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude with an appetite for constantly considering innovative ways for developing new business. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong sales ability with extremely high customer focus. Able to help customers better understand exactly what they need and how Welding Solutions can provide it. Able to help convert customer requirements into realistic deliverables from the business with quote preparation essential to success. Proven sales experience working within the Mining and Civil, Truck or Plant Hire industry. Must be comfortable using and updating the CRM and other programs used in the business and be able to ensure all systems are updated with the latest customer information. Truck salesperson licence preferred, or willing to obtain. HR licence preferred, or willing to obtain to enable client truck handovers.
