Our latest division, in-house content marketing agency, BBC StoryWorks, is backed by global, best-in-class expertise to deliver brands truly ground-breaking campaign ideas across all our global media platforms.At BBC Studios, you'll enjoy a supportive, collaborative and inspiring culture, which invests heavily in developing its staff and provides international opportunities for career development.About the RoleA key contributor to the Australia and New Zealand sales team, the Sales Planner:Prepares national and international media schedules under the direction of the BBC Studios Advertising Sales team.Demonstrates an entrepreneurial & creative approach to campaign planning and strategy, encompassing content marketing, cross-platform esp. digital and mobile, and data-led audience segmentation, delivering on business & campaign objectives.Manages all aspects of the sales media planning & management process including campaign forecasting, planning & booking with the support of the wider advertising sales team.Provides regular performance reports, insights and recommendations for content campaigns, including digital analytics, on- and off-platform distribution and other relevant metrics.Develops close working relationships with the ANZ & APAC teams to ensure client objectives are met/exceeded while ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines.Builds strong relationships with external customers (media agency and direct client) and delivers outstanding levels of customer service.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesWhat will you be doing?Under direction of the sales team, develop media plans for media agencies and clients to support sales proposals.Make bookings & reservations into relevant digital systems and platforms to ensure a smooth implementation process.Partner with the Pricing & Inventory team to identify opportunities, customize sales packages and communicate new products releases.Work closely with other key business units to ensure adherence to global policies and processes in ANZ. These will include for example Ad Operations, StoryWorks and Finance.Campaign Management & Reporting:Monitor campaign performance and conduct simple technical troubleshooting to resolve any issues and ensure delivery of campaigns.Provide post-campaign summary reports and assist the sales team on presentations back to clients.Manage and report on on-and off-platform audience acquisition strategies for BBC StoryWorks branded content campaigns.Developing Professional Capability:Meet / exceed all performance objectives.Agree a development plan with team management to increase capability in line with business needs.Keep up to date with industry trends, new product developments and the competition to develop a reputation as a digital advocate and advisor within the sales team.Demonstrate at all times BBC Values in all dealings with BBC colleagues and external customers.Knowledge, Skills, Training & ExperienceYou have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Media (agency or media owner) with digital media experience (essential). You are confident in the use of digital media tools such as Google AdManager, Google Analytics, and other relevant digital systems and tools. Excellent skills in using MS Excel is essential; Tableau experience is ideal. Good understanding of the Australian media agency market. Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.An understanding of:Digital Ad Serving Platforms esp.
