About The Role As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the performance of experienced Business Development Managers, driving sales & operations to achieve ambitious growth targets. Your role will balance sales leadership and operational excellence, making this position both dynamic and rewarding. The position offers a blend of strategic planning and hands-on leadership, making it ideal for a driven Manager and Access Hire specialist ready to lead a thriving team.
You will lead a team to focus on strengthening client relationships and meeting quarterly sales targets. With individual uncapped commissions and opportunities to make a significant impact, your job would be to recognises efforts, build team morale and to ensure all operations run smoothly and efficiently. A background in the hire space is required, and an understanding of trucks and mechanics will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities: Manage and motivate a high-performing team of sales managers, site staff and mechanicsOversee daily operations at the new site, with directives delegated from the National teamDrive revenue growth through strategic initiativesBuild, nurture and overlook all client relationshipsAchieve and surpass sales targets individually, and as a teamThe Ideal Candidate Your communication skills, strategic thinking, and dedication to fostering a positive culture will be the keys to your success, you must be a seasoned professional with a strong background in the Access Hire industry. Well-networked and experienced in leading successful teams, your ability to forward think, and ensure all machinery is ready to be utilised at short notice is essential. A strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes will ensure that your team are confident that you can meet any of their clients projects at the same time as your own. Ideally, you have a history of excelling in sales and operations roles, with a deep understanding of client needs in the hire and construction sectors. Experience with mechanics is advantageous, as is a proven ability to achieve ambitious targets.
