The business has manufacturing facilities in Devonport and Mildura and its head office in Launceston.An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Sales Manager to join the business. They must be able to demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen in the agriculture sector and have a successful sales and business development track record. This new role is ideally based in Victoria or Tasmania and will manage the sales and marketing sector for the whole group.Due to sustained growth and future business expansion prospects, this role will be critical in driving sales and revenue performance and in developing more effective and efficient relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be working closely with the internal production, transport and procurement teams to ensure customer needs are met in full and on time every time.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide strong leadership and management to the sales, marketing and technical support team, ensuring excellent customer service and strong relationships are maintained.Work closely with key stakeholders and be across the market in order to take prompt advantage of opportunities across Australia and internationally.Develop and deliver on strategic business plans for area of responsibility.Forecast sales performance, track key metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.Key capabilities required include, but are not limited to:5+ years of proven experience managing commercial sales in the Agricultural industry.Exceptional leadership and management skills with proven track record of achieving targets and high level customer service across multiple states.Highly dynamic, outgoing and self-motivated individual with strong strategic commercial and business acumen.Strong networking experience and skills essential, and excellent agricultural market, nutrition and/or technical sales knowledge and experience are highly desirable.Has excellent organisation and is a strong multiple tasker who thinks quickly on their feet and can be highly responsive in a fast paced dynamic environment.Experienced people and change manager and an excellent team player, mentor and coach who works well in difficult situations and under pressure.A professional, proactive and innovative individual with a positive can-do attitude.A flexible problem solver who actively drives continuous improvement.Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.Ability to travel regularly as required.Collaborating with the senior management team, this position will be integral in building and supporting future progression of this robust and adaptive business.
