Our client, based in Glenorchy, Tasmania, is a leading player in the timber wholesale industry, providing high-quality timber products to both retail and commercial clients.
They are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead their team and drive continued growth and success.
This is a full-time permanent role, offering a competitive salary package and the opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
This role would be full-time Monday - Friday between 7am to 4.30pm.
About the Role: You will be responsible for generating leads and managing client relationships.Meeting or exceeding sales targets.Staying up-to-date with market trends and pricing strategies.Sourcing and negotiating pricing with timber suppliers to maintain competitive stock levels.Developing sales strategies for timber products, targeting both retail and commercial clients.Ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date to offer informed advice on timber grades, treatments, and uses.Overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with OH&S standards.Delegating tasks to yard staff and maintaining accurate stock levels.Occasionally operating a counterbalance forklift to load & unload timber onto trucks/containers.Coordinating stock deliveries and ensuring quality control of timber products upon arrival.Providing professional advice and timely quotations.Ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to specification.Qualifications & Experience: Experience in a sales management role, ideally in the timber or building materials sector.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Valid Tasmanian (or Australian) driver's license.Knowledge of freight and supplier costs in a competitive market.How to Apply: Click the Apply Now button and follow the Application Process, or alternatively please email me directly at [email protected]
