Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team based in Sydney, NSW.
They are at the forefront of maritime research and development in capability that has the flexibility to support a variety of tasks and roles including Defence, State and Federal departments, including Recreational and Commercial maritime.
The role reports into a broader international team that is delivering capabilities worldwide.
To be successful, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships across various markets, including government agencies, commercial entities, and recreational boat customers.
The role requires the ideal candidate to explore and develop new customers in regions/areas including Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, and niches in Western Australia and Northern Territory.
Additionally, after-sales support is an important aspect that will also need to be created and developed.
The RoleDevelop and win new business.Experienced in planning and forecasting sales and opportunities.Execute sales plans.Maximise the portfolio of existing clients.Report directly into the international sales Team Leader.Have a traceable sales record.Appreciate different markets: Commercial, Government Agencies, Recreational.Develop and implement business strategies.Target new markets and maintain market share.Help shape tenders and bids.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.Technical knowledge relating to manufacturing.The PersonQualifications in Engineering would be desirable.A proven background in sales with Account Management experience.Thrive in developing existing markets as well as targeting new markets.Passionate about winning and developing new business.The ability to speak to senior decision makers with confidence.New business focused.Excellent relationship building skills.This is a key role offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our sales strategy and drive growth in a dynamic and diverse market.
