Your role: As a Sales Manager for Australian Munitions (AM), you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, and growing order intake and production for a diverse product portfolio ranging from bulk chemicals to munitions and explosive stores for predominantly our commercial customers.
This role has a focus on 60% farming to 40% business development.
Travel (once a fortnight) is required to our manufacturing (Benalla & Mulwala) and customer sites.
Some key accountabilities include: Management of existing customer contracts and accounts, including accurately forecasting customer demand requirements; Cultivating existing customer accounts and relationships to deliver sales for the business; Opportunely capturing new production opportunities for Australian Munitions; Where required, manage the development of formal RFQ responses for Australian Munitions for the customer order process.
On day one you will come with: Sales experience in either Defence, Bulk Chemicals or FMCG; Ability to develop commercial proposals (business cases, tender), and capture new business; Proven ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment.
A self-starter that can operate independently as well as work within geographically spread teams; Knowledge of munitions from a professional or personal standpoint will be highly regarded.
