As part of the growth strategy, the company seeks a Sales Manager for their BESS division to drive business development and secure new project opportunities. The Sales Manager – BESS will be responsible for driving the sales and business development strategies for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
This role will involve identifying, qualifying, and converting sales opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
The Sales Manager will work closely with the engineering, product development, and project management teams to develop tailored solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with their energy storage needs.
The position will also be instrumental in expanding market presence, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the company's renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a sales strategy for BESS solutions, targeting key market segments including utilities, energy providers, and commercial enterprises. Identify and qualify new business opportunities, leveraging your network and market knowledge to generate leads and drive sales. Work closely with technical and product teams to craft tailored solutions that meet client needs while ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency. Prepare and present proposals, bids, and tender documents, providing clear and compelling value propositions to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry professionals, to promote business growth and brand recognition. Monitor market trends and competitor activities, ensuring the company remains competitive in the fast-evolving energy storage market. Negotiate contract terms and manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely delivery of projects. Report on sales performance and market intelligence to senior leadership, providing insights into customer requirements and market opportunities. About You The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the energy, utilities, or renewable energy sectors, with a strong focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Strong knowledge of energy storage technologies, including their applications, benefits, and market trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders. A strategic mindset, with the ability to identify business opportunities, create value propositions, and drive revenue growth. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and meet deadlines. A customer-focused approach, with the ability to tailor solutions to meet diverse client needs. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite, with experience in using sales tools for pipeline management. Qualifications A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or training in sales, business development, or renewable energy technologies are beneficial.
