American Express International Card Services (ICS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help commercial businesses and consumers around the world manage their payments. The Asia Pacific (APAC) Field Performance & Insights (FP&I) team within ICS acts as trusted advisors to leaders in the organization by providing data-driven insights to drive profitable growth, improve efficiency, and ensure robust governance. The team uses a central and comprehensive view of strategies and initiatives, as well as relationships with many regional and functional partners, to provide analysis and insights, performance management solutions and strategic recommendations for senior leaders.

How will you make an impact in this role?

This position is responsible for supporting end-to-end ICS performance management processes with an emphasis on Sales Incentive Plan-related activities for the ICS APAC business. It plays a key role in creating incentive structures that inspire and motivate the highest levels of performance while ensuring clear alignment between the interests of our colleagues and company. It provides thought leadership, analysis and insights to help drive long term profitable growth. The position reports to the Head of P&I APAC.

Key accountabilities include: End-to-end Sales Incentive Plan management:Partner with local business leaders and Central Incentive Manager to ensure the ICS APAC Sales Incentive Plans (SIP) effectively support business outcomes and ICS objectives.Provide incentive-related insights & recommendations.Contribute to and understand International best practice and integrate key concepts and learnings into regional Incentive Plans.Review SIP annual budget analysis produced by the Analytics & Strategic Insights (ASI) team.Manage relevant SIP approval processes and plan document creations.Complete post-approval governance activities.Support enterprise audit discussions and issue resolution. Supporting projects & processes in areas such as:Support and enable regional & international business growth initiatives.Provide recommendations on contest & referral programs submitted by local markets and keep central repository of programs.Support ad hoc business & SABE queries & payout exception case reviews.Ad-hoc activities as required. Partnering with key stakeholders such as:Senior ICS country managers, general managers, planners & analystsInternational Analytics & Strategic Insights (ASI) teamIncentive Design & Governance (IDG) teamSales & Business Analysis (SABE) teamOperational Excellence (OE) and compliance teams Skills & Qualifications Business degree or equivalent. Masters preferred.Experience designing & managing incentives and compensation programs is a plus.Creative, analytical and results driven, with a demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from data and make recommendations.Effective written & verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.Strong stakeholder management experience with a proven ability to build and leverage relationships.Exceptional project managementAdvanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.A team-first collaborative attitude is essential.Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently.
