Mailchimp's new business sales team is a group of consultative sellers whose focus is to engage and acquire mid-market customers. In recognizing the pivotal role account executives play in prospecting new clients, driving sales, and ensuring overall business success, we believe that adding seasoned professionals to our team will bring a wealth of experience, industry insights, and strong business outcomes. We are looking to hire account executives with the ability to navigate complex client landscapes and seize new opportunities with our mid-market customers.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for acquiring mid-market customers and fast-growing SMBsOwn the full sales cycle for new business customers from targeted outreach through to inbound qualification and discovery, value selling, and closingProspect for high quality leads in your defined vertical or territoryDissect and qualify prospects' business goals to determine if Mailchimp can be a strategic investment for their business' growthMaintain strong CRM hygiene and process disciplineInfluence decisions to achieve win-win outcomesArticulate Mailchimp's value proposition and translate features into value and benefits for the customerCreate a consistent, effective follow-up strategy to convert customers, ensure satisfaction, gather referrals, and expand accountsMeet/exceed defined revenue, productivity, and quality metricsDevelop expert level knowledge of the martech industry, top competitors, and stay up to date with launches and product/pricing changesMinimum Requirements5+ years of successful track record conducting outbound and cold calls, product demos, and managing a pipeline, preferably in the SaaS/Martech SpaceUtilizes in-depth knowledge of a variety of sales techniques and methodologiesExperienced in building and managing a strong sales pipeline from prospecting to closeSelf-motivated with proven success in quota carryingHigh level of business acumen and marketing knowledgeAn unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguityHungry for feedback and exceptional at applying feedback to improve resultsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to multitaskCompetitive, collaborative, and highly creativeOpen to receiving feedback and applying and integrating the feedback in an effort to improve results
