About the role The SDR function and sales team as a whole is an eclectic bunch; we have ex zookeepers, carpenters, gym-owners, videographers, analysts and horticulturalists on our team.
The one thing they all have in common?
Success in the SDR role.
Over the past year, our sales team has grown from 2-7 individuals and in 2025, this is set to grow further.
Our team consistently overachieves on growth QoQ, averaging 103% of target in Q2 & 3 2024.
Our average time to full-ramp target is 60 days.
The Sales Development Representative is one of the most important roles at BuildPass.
You are the first point of contact for either our Inbound or Outbound Customers, understanding our product, positioning, use cases and how we can truly help construction companies run their site operations.
Plainly speaking, you will be responsible for picking up the phone and generating new business opportunities that ultimately drive revenue for BuildPass.
Key responsibilities Proactively reach out to prospects to generate new business opportunities for BuildPass.Identify and qualify leads through outbound efforts (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.)
as well as inbound inquiries.Understand customer needs and requirements, educating them on how BuildPass can solve their pain points.Collaborate with the sales team to book meetings and build a robust sales pipeline.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in a CRM, managing multiple prospects at various stages of the sales funnel.Stay current on industry trends, BuildPass product developments, and competitors.About you 1+ year of professional experience.Results-driven mindset with the ability to be handed a target and calculate how to achieve and surpass it.Ability to learn the ropes and become an expert on our ideal customer.Outstanding ability to listen.Curious and experimental - pushes the boundaries to achieve optimal results.Strong desire to join sales at an early stage and build your career.BuildPass Working Life: We have a sweet office in Cremorne that we love to work in - but are very WFH friendly.2 Days of bonus wellbeing leave every 6 months to ensure you're looking after yourself.Monthly Build-a-Brunch's to keep the team connected.Quota Relief - we strongly believe you should be paid for the hard work you do, providing our reps quota relief during their first 30-60 days.We see our SDR function as our future talent across various functions at BuildPass and are open to supporting you on your career journey.
