The Opportunity Reporting directly into the Managing Director, and forming a vital part of the Executive Leadership Team, this is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of our business development and commercial strategy.
As our new Sales & Commercial Manager, you will hold key accountability for leading and driving high performance and a positive culture within your sales team.
You will be responsible for driving sales across the group, maintaining and strengthening relationships with key commercial customers, and overseeing the tender process to secure new business opportunities. This role demands a strategic thinker who can blend innovation with practical solutions, coupled with working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless execution of key projects and customer satisfaction.
You will be supported and provided with a structured onboarding and training plan, allowing quality time spent with relevant stakeholders to ensure you are well integrated into the business.
Key Responsibilities: Provide Strong leadership, guidance, and support to your direct team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Lead and guide your team in preparing comprehensive tenders and quotes, and manage the submission of tenders and quotes in accordance with predetermined timeframes.Maintain and enhance relationships with key commercial customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our unique technology. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects to meet sales targets, contributing to the growth of the business.Develop and implement market segmentation strategies to identify and target specific customer groups, ensuring tailored approaches to meet the unique needs and preferences of each segment.Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure all estimates and quotes are feasible and align with operational capabilities.Drive a smooth transition from estimation to execution.Analyse trends in the market and within the business to make informed decisions and recommendations.Drive an understanding of our company's unique technology, in order to promote and sell to existing and potential clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and value it brings to their projects.Travel required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Your ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, create strong working relationships, coupled with conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times will see you succeed in this role, as will your ability to continue to lead and drive a highly experienced sales team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the Arboriculture, Construction or Environmental industry.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive profitability.Strong understanding of tendering, estimation and quoting processes.Sound knowledge of operational processes and how they impact project delivery.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with technology sales, particularly in the context of asset collecting or similar products, is desirable.
