We are looking for a full-time Sales Assistant to join the team in our Mildura store.
As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting customers, providing solutions, handling payments, and replenishing stock while maintaining high visual merchandising standards.
A day in the life... (and yet not two days are the same) Provide service, advice, and product solutions to both trade and retail customersTake orders in-store and by phoneTint paint products to customer requirementsReplenish stock including 15L paint drumsBuild strong relationships with repeat customers in-store and fellow colleaguesKeep up to date with the latest colour forecasts and product releasesAssist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeepingInventory control (Goods Receiving/Stock taking)Comply with safe work practicesYour primers are: Strong communication skillsA genuine desire to deliver outstanding servicePrevious experience working in a customer service roleExperience with stock handling and merchandisingPoint of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvyNumeracy skills sufficient to perform POS transactions and comprehend tint percentages/ratiosThe ability to follow instructions and work effectively unsupervisedCapacity to perform manual tasks including lifting of 15L cans of paintProblem-solving skillsAbility to use Microsoft Office and OutlookYour special finish could include: Trade customer working knowledgeColour and design choices expertiseAn unrestricted driver's licence to make local deliveriesBenefits 50% off retail price of Haymes Paint manufactured products, including friends and family discounts6% Medibank Corporate discount20% New Balance discountOngoing training and supportAccess to a range of workplace health and wellbeing initiativesProfessional development opportunitiesPlease apply by including a recent resume and responding to the selection questions.
