Retail | Full Time | Charters Towers, QLDWe are currently searching for a full-time sales assistant to join our team.
As a sales assistant you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting the sales team, and contributing to achieving sales targets and overall business objectives.
Our store trades 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster.
This position will be based in Charters Towers, QLD.Hours:Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pmSaturday: 8:40am - 2:10pmSunday: 9:35am - 1:10pm(Every third weekend)As a sales assistant you will be responsible for:Assisting with inventory managementCash handling and processing payments and returnsSales support, up-selling or cross-selling products to customersStocking, merchandising and maintaining the stores overall cleanliness and organisationAssisting in training new employees, and supporting other departments or team members as necessaryProviding excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, and handling any complaints or issues they may have.A willingness to learnA dedication to accuracyPrevious employment in a retail settingProfessional and maintains a positive reputationAny experience that involved working as part of a teamStrong customer service experience is crucial for this roleExperience using computer programs and software relevant to retail operationsFamiliarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management softwareExperience in roles related to merchandising, inventory management, or visual displayStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher managementAbout W.
