The role Sandvik is seeking a dedicated and skilled Product Specialist to join our Surface Drills team in Perth, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support and developing the technical competencies of both our customers and internal personnel for Sandvik products. As part of the national product support team for Australia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand, you will have the opportunity to engage in factory training and travel to various locations as needed. This role is a full-time requirement; however, Sandvik recognizes the desire for flexible working options. Areas of responsibility Provide on-site technical assistance to resolve issues. Develop customer relationships to ensure customers have a positive experience and remain loyal to the Sandvik brand. Provide technical training to the service network on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices. Provide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel in cases of complex technical issues. Provide relevant feedback to Technical Support Managers and relevant Factory Product Engineering to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation. Assist in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements. Review spare parts recommendations with Parts BLM organization. Provide information on the accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC). Investigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the Warranty Analyst. Your profile Relevant Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent). Post-trade experience of at least 7 years in Mining and in a similar role. Expert knowledge and experience with Blast hole drills, platform drills. Experience working in remote locations and understanding different cultural dynamics. Experience in the delivery of technical training to maintenance personnel and operators. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to travel internationally without restrictions (Europe, USA, NZL, PNG). Flexibility and adaptability in response to organizational and operational change.
