Rural Inputs (WA) is an independent, family-owned and operated farm inputs provider servicing West Australian growers. The team is strategically focused on supporting broadacre farming customers, leveraging their specialist knowledge and commitment to supplying high-quality products and services tailored to individual agronomic needs.
We seek a motivated and passionate Sales Agronomist with a strong understanding of broadacre farming systems. You will have strong technical awareness, be able to provide agronomic insights, and manage the sales of crop inputs within the region.
Reporting to the General Manager and working in conjunction with the Manager – Sales & Technical, you will be joining an independent business during an exciting period of growth with a clear vision for the future.
Key Responsibilities: Develop sales of products and services with new and existing clients.Identify new areas of business growth within the region.Execute a growth plan to obtain and service new clients for the company.Maintain relationships with client stakeholders, including farm consultants.Be proactive in understanding the latest product trends.Deliver an exceptional level of service to clients.Understand seasonal trends to maximise productivity.Skills & Experience: A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a related field is desirable.Experience in agronomy and technical sales.Established grower relationships, including an understanding of local ag retail operations.Sound knowledge of broadacre cropping markets in the region.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Proven ability to meet sales targets and develop new business opportunities.Technical awareness and ability to keep up to date with the latest trends.Development of new ideas while encouraging innovation.Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.The successful applicant will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, commensurate with experience and qualifications, which will include a fully maintained vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop.
