Who we're looking for: The Salary Packaging Consultant position is responsible for supporting the delivery of external and internal salary packaging services, involving the operation of our salary packaging tool and the provision of advice and support on salary packaging offerings. This position will ensure compliance with accounting controls, principles, reporting requirements and perform payroll and balance reconciliations.
In addition, the role will support the preparation of salary packaging FBT report requirements for clients. There will be some responsibility in the wider business FBT reporting requirements, including a degree of internal coordination to deliver FBT capability externally to our wide range of customers at driver and organisational level.
Qualifications or measurable experience · Exposure/Working knowledge of Fringe Benefits Tax (preferably Cars)
· Exposure to Payroll and Salary Packaging
· Previous Salary Packaging Administration experience either in a Salary Packaging company or in a company where the candidate was an Accountant for internal Novated Leases.
Technical skills · Intermediate working knowledge and capability with Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel, in addition to other program experience and exposure
· Understanding of accrual accounting concepts
· High data entry key strokes with strong attention to detail
Communication skills · Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to do so effectively across all areas of the business
· Ability to listen effectively and accept constructive feedback and action as required
Personal Management skills · Self-motivated and disciplined displaying initiative with a proactive approach
· High level of emotional intelligence
· Desire to work in a team environment, open to input and constructive feedback for future developments/changes to departmental procedure and company infrastructure
· Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict and tight deadlines
