Logistics Specialist The Role
As a Logistics Specialist, you'll play a vital role in delivering integrated logistics support across the Defence capability life cycle. Under broad direction, you'll contribute to critical projects by:
Developing logistics deliverables for new products and assets. Drafting key documentation, including Logistics Support Plans, Asset Transition Plans, and Disposal/Management Plans. Providing logistics advice and guidance to stakeholders. This is your opportunity to make an impact while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Individual We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled logistics professional with a proven track record in Defence or Defence industry. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex logistics challenges across a product's lifecycle. Your ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide expert guidance is essential, as is your commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
Essential Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Proven experience in logistics management and procurement within Defence. At least 3 years of Integrated Logistics Support experience in the Defence sector (Department of Defence or Defence industry). Extensive knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support, including supply, maintenance, training, and asset lifecycle management. Experience transitioning products and assets from acquisition to sustainment. Sound understanding of Logistics Information Management Systems (LIMS) processes and procedures. The ability to identify, assess, and manage risks related to logistics activities with effective mitigation strategies. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Knowledge of Defence Logistics Policies. Familiarity with Commonwealth Financial Acts, Regulations, and systems. Highly Desirable
It's an advantage if you also have:
Formal qualifications in Integrated Logistics Support or a related field. Proven experience with SAP and Defence Logistics Systems. Prior experience in CASG, GWEO, or Service Headquarters.
