Speno Rail Maintenance Australia is a world leader in rail grinding technology, machine production, and a trusted provider of rail maintenance, rectification, and diagnostics.
As part of our commitment to ensuring safe and efficient rail operations, we are currently seeking Safeworking – Traffic Officer to join our growing team in Sydney.
The Role:
Due to significant growth and long-term contracts, we are seeking to expand our Safeworking – Traffic Officer Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our rail maintenance projects.
You will be responsible for maintaining safe working environments on track, assisting in rail maintenance activities, and ensuring adherence to rail safety regulations and procedures.
We are looking for reliable and safety-conscious individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
The role involves both day and night shifts, providing a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to Australia's rail network.
Key Responsibilities:

Always ensure compliance with rail safety regulations and procedures.
Monitor and maintain safe working environments for all personnel on-site
Assist in rail maintenance activities, including setting up and maintaining safety zones
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and safe operations
Conduct safety checks and report hazards or safety concerns immediately
Adhere to company values and work efficiently to meet project goals


Requirements:

Current Sydney Trains COC's and ARTC competencies.
Minimum Protection Officer Level 2
Safeworking Level 1 ticket
Hand signalling level 2
Experience transferring track machines within Sydney Trains network
Demonstrated communications with Network Operations
Demonstrated knowledge of network Rules and Procedures


Desirable (but not essential):

First Aid certification
HR licence
Category 1 medical clearance
Track Certification
