About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, integration and ongoing management of the Safety & Wellbeing risk framework to ensure we meet our Safety & Wellbeing objective to eliminate fatalities and reduce injuries.
You will provide strategic and technical guidance in all Safety & Wellbeing risk related activity.
What's involved: Develop risk profiles and recommend improvement projects and programs to drive improvement
Lead risk reviews with key stakeholders to consult and identify hazards, controls, their performance and recommended improvements
Provide guidance, coaching and related communications to the broader safety & wellbeing team and function leaders to uplift risk management capability and effective integration of risk management practices
Deliver knowledge management and professional growth by leading, researching, establishing, and deploying best practices, standards, and guidelines for safety and wellbeing risks and their management.
Who we're looking for: Bringing your strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills you will be highly skilled at liaising with all levels of the organisation, building trusted relationships and understanding stakeholder needs.
You'll need: Significant demonstrated experience in safety & wellbeing in a complex environment
Tertiary education in health and safety or a related discipline, ideally coupled with relevant experience
Sound working knowledge of risk management concepts – and critical risk management
High level of skill in researching, analysing and interpreting risk concepts and requirements and translating these into simple processes and controls
Strong planning and organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
