The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink's delivery of CopperString 2032.
This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.
The project scope includes:
500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa, up to six new substation sites.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Training Advisor to join our team to support the delivery of the Copperstring 2032 project.
In this position you will support the training function, provide coordination of training practices, systems, and procedures on the project.
What will a day in this role look like:
Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project training programs.
Develop training programs for project employees.
Facilitate training programs for project employees.
Administer training programs for project employees.
Conduct routine reviews and seek feedback of training programs to continually improve the program.
Evaluate, investigate, and gather information that will address inadequacies concerning training matters.
Investigate training options for JV employees.
Support contractors with training requirements on site.
Identify additional training programs that will benefit the project.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
Certificate IV of Training and Assessment or equivalent.
5 years' experience in developing and delivering safety-based training programs.
Experience monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on performance and compliance.
Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, email.
