About the opportunityAt Bolton Clarke, "Always safe" is a foundational value. In this position, you will support the design, development, and implementation of the organization's safety management system and well-being initiatives. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the management of complex psychosocial hazards within a similar environment, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and well-being standards, maintaining the highest safety levels for employees and customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to design and update safety management systems.
Analyse safety data to identify and manage risks related to incidents, injuries, and well-being.
Provide technical support for safety operations and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
Assist in the design, implementation, and review of health and safety systems and policies.
Conduct site visits to engage with stakeholders and ensure the effectiveness of safety systems.
Develop and deliver safety training programs to upskill staff in risk assessment and hazard management.
Support the implementation of projects focused on enhancing safety culture and holistic well-being.
Advise and support health and safety committees and representatives.

You are a positive role model with a proactive approach for delivering exceptional customer service.
You have excellent communication and relationship skills and are able to work with your stakeholders to find practical solutions that manage risk and develop a proactive safety culture.
Minimum 2 years' experience in health and safety.
Qualifications or experience in Psychology, or psychosocial safety systems.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
High attention to detail and accuracy in creating safety management systems.
Proven ability to provide workplace safety advice in a customer-focused environment.
Effective relationship-building with stakeholders through strong communication skills.
Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
