The Role This Safety Specialist will join a wider People and Culture team and have the autonomy to make real change and be hands-on with the stores and the ever-evolving risks they are facing. The primary responsibility of the role will be to ensure compliance and update all company policies and procedures. There will be a real opportunity to develop and implement new initiatives across a multisite operation while monitoring safety management systems and liaising with return-to-work consultants. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Site audits ICAM investigations Coaching and mentoring a diverse workforce Giving operational managers the tools for success About you You will be an enthusiastic safety professional and happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. This is a hands-on position with an opportunity to work with a dynamic risk profile, so it would suit someone happy to be on site, build strong relationships, and who deeply understands the retail sector.
Requirements 3+ years' experience in a similar Work Health and Safety role. Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. Relationship building , stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
