Your Team Palaris' Engineering, Safety & Risk Team provides engineering, risk management, health and safety services to a range of mine developers, operators, vendors and regulators across commodities, both onshore and globally. Our experts work alongside our mining and engineering teams to provide strong technical and operational input into our safety, health and risk approach. Our team is qualified in the full suite of risk management and formal problem-solving tools. We broaden the discussion around risk using various methodologies to improve critical thinking around organisational issues and uncover systematic solutions for our clients. We've completed; • 200+ Engineering Compliance Reviews The Opportunity With a period of sustained growth, based in our Newcastle CBD office, we are now looking to expand our Engineering, Safety and Risk service offering with an additional role to supplement our current team. The Safety & Risk Advisor will work directly with our General Manager Engineering Safety & Risk to both execute projects and support our existing team. This is a role ideally suited to someone who is building their career, is ok with a mix of operational safety functions combined with work that will challenge you in the high-risk space. Key Responsibilities Execute client safety and risk projects in either an individual capacity or as a team projectFacilitate both site-based and remote risk assessments and workshopsPrepare and deliver concise technical reports to our clientsWork with the Engineering, Safety & Risk team to engage with prospective clients and prepare value added proposalsWork across our offices supporting sites domestically and globally as required (remotely)Participate in studies and the project management services in the areas of safety, health and riskSupport clients to manage emerging risks associated with critical mineral industries About You Key skills and experience: 3+ years relevant industry experienceExcellent teamwork, presentation and facilitation skillsExperience in safety and risk management, ideally including at a site-based levelA practical approach to safety and risk managementStrong internal and external communication skills What We Offer • 9-day fortnight and flexibility in how you work. • Various wellbeing-benefits and social activities combined with an excellent remuneration package. • A bonus scheme that rewards high achievers and a culture that offers opportunities to advance.
