At Enerven, we're focused on connecting you with tomorrow The Role (Based in Newcastle or Hunter region): We are seeking a highly motivated SQE Advisor to join our team, as we are currently constructing large scale battery energy storage systems at Liddell and Eraring. These nationally significant projects are set to be among the largest in Australia. Enerven are proud to work alongside Origin, Fluence and AGL to deliver these, and further bolster our activity in reshaping the NSW energy market.
As an experienced safety professional in the fields of construction, energy, or contracting, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the energy and renewables industry. To meet the contracted expectations of our clients, you will be required to provide on-site support to each of these projects working closely with the site-based project teams and other safety personnel to ensure all safety systems and procedures are followed, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assist with the implementation and management of Enerven's WHS Management SystemProvide advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian Standards, directives, processes, procedures and guidelines;Conduct safety & environmental risk assessments;Ensure mitigation processes for identified hazards are in place and communicated;Conduct audits, inspections and observations in accordance with project scope;Monitoring of contractors and adherence to client requirementsFacilitate, develop and provide relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions and prestart briefings;Conduct incident investigations, undertake WHS reporting and project analysis.Provide monthly reports as required by project, client and LeaderOther conditions: Some out of hours' work will be required as part of the normal duties of this positionInterstate and intrastate travel may be requiredTravel between the two worksites on a regular basis will be required in order to meet site specific priorities and needsWhat you will need: Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experienceExperience working on large construction projects (or in similar high-risk industries)Work Health and Safety legislationHelp us share in a brighter future with Enerven in a key role with a great supportive team, vibrant culture with genuine career development opportunities available.
