This is a hands-on role working across all facets of the business, responsible for assisting the manufacturing departments in the support of improving both safety and quality.
Responsibilities of the role include: Actively review and investigate incidents in line with the safety representative role.Liaise with departmental staff to ensure CARs are closed in a timely fashion & manage & report on the progress in the relevant system.Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders regarding safety & quality issues with a view to continuous improvement.Integrate the organisation's compliance strategies by developing strong line management & other relationships within the organisation.Support Senior management initiatives in a positive manner.Promote and actively support all continuous improvement programs.Propose & implement preventative or corrective actions.Collect & analyse data relating to safety & quality.Ensure the department achieves relevant targets.Comply with all company policies, procedures and directions.Actively promote and find ways to increase safety & quality of product.What we are looking for is someone who is a good communicator, can work collaboratively with different departments across the business at all levels. Someone who is driven and proactive, having knowledge of industrial relations and Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Experience in Food Manufacturing and production facilities for short shelf life in food products would be desirable.
A qualification in Frontline Management or similar is preferred.
