This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Performance Improvement Specialist to join a NSW Government department based in Parramatta / WFH - 2 days per week in office. It is paying between $660 per day + super.

About the Role Design and implement strategies to improve safety performance using continuous improvement methodologies.Design, develop, implement and maintain safety assurance and investigation systems, processes, documentation and tools.Provide expert advice and support in delivering strategic objectives, plans, management systems objectives, mitigation of safety risks and hazards, the prevention of workplace injuries, the prevention of incidents and occurrences, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a safe culture.Participate in and facilitate health, safety and wellbeing activities such as risk reduction initiatives, wellbeing support activities, incident investigations, safety meetings, safety inductions and safety training.Contribute to building a positive safety culture where each team member recognises themselves as a safety leader.Exhibit visible safety leadership and behaviours to all staff and contractors.Skills & Experience 5+ years' in Safety Systems, Safety Assurance, Safety Investigation, Safety Continuous Improvement role or similar.Experience in designing safety performance improvement strategies through the application of continuous improvement methodologies.Working knowledge of the WHS Act, WHS Regulations and associated Codes of Practice, International Standards and Australian Standards.In depth understanding of health and safety management systems and/or safety risk management systems.How to Apply
