The Opportunity: Based at our Penrith Site, the Safety and Operations Administrator will report to the Site Manager.
The Role: Comply with all safety and environmental policies, procedures and processes and instructionsReport, document and assist with investigations of all safety and environmental hazards, incidents, injuries, near missesEnsure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained onsite in areas of office staff site interaction to prevent slips, trips and fallsEnsure personnel are practising safe production and safe behaviours where observedActively participate in the development and implementation of safety processes and proceduresProcurement of PPE, Stop 'n' Think books, permit books, CoR forms, manual wb dockets, etc.Ensure Noggin hazards, incidents, near misses, injuries and entered when instructedUpdating daily production and safety reportsRaising and Goods Receipting (GR) purchase orders in SAP – ensuring the correct coding and timely GR'ng of POs, matching invoices, goods and reviewing open PO'sConduct export administrationManagement of the site Kronos system (payroll system)Management of expenses and P-cardWeighbridge administration which includes review of docketsReceptionist duties as required (Phone, mail, filing, stationery order, etc.)Actively participate in divisional efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycleActively participate in site efforts to reduce and keep waste to a minimumEnsure compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety, environment, quality, and EEO/harassmentProvide complete and accurate daily reporting for production, quality, uptime, safety, and employee timesheetsWhat you will bring to the team: Understanding and a working knowledge of Excel and SAPIntermediate Microsoft office knowledgeExposure to a safety, environment, and quality cultureStrong problem solving and communication skillsStrong time management skills with attention to detailAdaptability; able to change focus based on the needs of the site at the timeStrong organisational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritise accordinglyGood understanding of English with the ability to train and relay information to othersAbility to work and participate in a team environmentAble to cope with deadlines and pressure situationsWhen you join Visy, you're joining a global leader dedicated to making serious progress in the sustainable packaging, recycling, re-manufacturing, and logistics industries.
