Job Description You will drive Safety performance within the facility to help O-I achieve best in class performance. You will work closely with the teams on preventative safety measures and will help ensure Safety compliance and improvement within the facility, spending up to 90% of your time on the workplace floor helping to do so. You will promote a safe workplace and support continuous improvements in safety culture.
Job Purpose: Build relationships with internal stakeholders to engage the workforcePerform internal audits/inspections and monitor to ensure compliance with all policiesSupport, coach, and influence all staff within the facilityReview high-risk jobsDevelop safe systems at workDevelop and execute training programsLiaise with internal stakeholders to develop and nurture best practices with operational safety as a core valueBe a trusted point of contact within the plant for all Safety issuesQualifications Minimum - NEBOSH National General CertificateAt least 3 years of working as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing, construction, and/or engineering environmentPrevious experience working in a high-risk environment, developing safe systems of workStrong relationship building, influencing, and coaching skillsAdditional Information Your team and work environment:
