Opal have built a leading-edge corrugating and converting facility located in the Wodonga region at Barnawartha. Our brand-new facility is a 47,000m2 manufacturing site dedicated to the production of corrugated fibre packaging.
Discover the Opportunity Responsible for driving the implementation of H&S policy, systems and procedures and monitoring compliance. The role monitors compliance, ensures recommendations are reviewed and implemented with site management, and provides advice and support in accordance with the relevant Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Opal standards.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
Implementing the Opal H&S systems and measurements, in line with the Opal WHSMS and corporate Policy at responsible sitesMonitoring the use of H&S systems and measurements and initiating corrective action to ensure complianceProviding information and guidance to operational and functional management to optimise H&S systems and measurementsActively participating in the implementation of H&S plans for the sites in conjunction with operations management teamsMonitoring the implementation of H&S plans and ensuring time frames are adhered toProviding input to business units for the development of an H&S budgetEnsuring H&S costs remain within budgetWe are able to offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. Specifically for this role, we expect you will have:
