Job Description About the Opportunity: We are excited to announce that Acciona has been named the preferred contractor to deliver a major wharf infrastructure project at Port Hedland for Pilbara Ports Authority.
This marks the first stage in the development of the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility and Logistics Hub (LCGF), a transformative multi-user facility designed to:
Enable the export of critical minerals. Support the import of renewable energy infrastructure. Facilitate the import/export of general cargo. Accommodate the import of bulk liquids such as fuel and chemicals. To help us deliver this project, we are now seeking a suitably experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
In this role you will report directly to the Project Director and coordinate the implementation of the Safety and H&S Management System throughout the project.
Key accountabilities for the position: Provide strategic direction and leadership for HSE across the project. Coordinate and undertake regular audits and inspections covering management systems, safe work procedures, behavioral safety and preventative measures. Undertake thorough risk assessments of and assess all tasks and activities. Provide timely and expert Safety, Quality and Environmental advice and assistance. Take a lead role in the review and continuous improvement of our safety documentation. Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary level or equivalent qualifications in WH&S management. 7 – 10 years operational experience in the application of safety management principles. Lead Auditor qualifications in WH&S management systems. Working knowledge of HS&E and Work Cover requirements and implementation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others. Knowledge of process auditing principles and practices. What we offer FIFO rosters: two weeks on/one week off.
