We have an excellent opportunity for a Safety Manager in our Orlando, FL location.
This salaried, exempt position will report directly to our Assistant Director of Safety.
The primary function of this position is to build and continue revitalization of a World-Class Safety culture within Titan America.
The OSHA Safety Manager is, at minimum, responsible for baseline compliance with policies and procedures governing safe working conditions within our industry.
Furthermore, the incumbent will create a culture that fully supports fast-changing high-performance environments while developing other safety professionals to lead initiatives.
This individual will serve as a change champion in building a deep bench of safety professionals in Concrete processes.
Visible leadership promoting the zero incident culture will be a significant key to success.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all-encompassing Safety System effectiveness through training, onboarding, re-vitalizing, implementing programs and initiatives, measuring effectiveness, staying abreast of changing dynamics and priorities, balancing business deliverables, meeting required Federal and State requirements.Drive a Safety culture and lead the charge for change through action.Identify leading/lagging indicators to analyze data and provide solutions for sustained improvement and setting goals.Support Matrix organization Vice presidents and management in the pursuit of Safety driven operational excellence.Execute initiatives leading to sustainable process improvements in Safety.Identify best practices that can be duplicated, implemented, and measured with clear and consistent performance metrics.Establish trust/credibility with business leaders at all locations.Travel to our different locations within Florida (70%).QualificationsBachelor's degree within Safety/Health related fields.
Master's degree preferred.
Consideration of alternate/technical degree coupled with specific safety/industry related experience.Must have excellent leadership and management skills.Extreme attention to detail – understanding impact of information generated.Knowledge of OSHA standards, monitoring, and reporting.Ability to work within ambiguities of dissimilar systems, producing unified understanding of Key Performance Indicators.Ability to independently learn and understand technical, regulatory, and external issues regarding the Safety programs of the facilities.Ability to work with moderate direction to manage delivery of high quality outputs in a dynamic work environment.Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines across a wide audience with tight time constraints.Understand and utilize quantitative business drivers and strategic direction.Ability to integrate with business and find solutions beyond compliance through safety system integration.Ability to work effectively with Operations Teams gathering necessary input to form meaningful approaches in process improvement.Characteristics and Abilities: Highly motivated and high energy professional with passion for excellence to drive a World-Class Safety organization.Strong ability to influence others and build relationships through individual character, competence, and results.Leadership qualities and attributes to motivate and develop people and concentrate on results.Time management and results-based orientation – no excuses mindset.
