About the role In this full-time, Perth based position you will assist the Head of Safety and Quality to fulfil specific duties and responsibilities specific to the administration of the Safety Management System.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Conduct and lead internal investigations including managing corrective, remedial, and preventative actions. Compile reports on safety events as delegated by the GSM. Liaise with regulatory authorities and external parties. Support the Risk Assessment Register process and the risk assessment of identified hazards. Assist in the preparation of material for regulatory reports. Promote an organisational culture that fosters safety practices through awareness programs and effective leadership. Report to relevant accountable managers on SMS performance and areas needing improvement. Liaise with the GCQAMs on the planning and conduct of audits to examining equipment specifications, assess workplace processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that the operating environment is consistent with defined goals, objectives, and regulatory requirements. Ensure emergency equipment's and safety supplies are maintained to conform with the regulatory safety standard. Participate in emergency response planning and provide timely advice on safety matters. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment with safety standards and regulatory expectation. Ensure that all projects meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirement. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (essential and desirable)
