Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. In this role, you will ensure that the company maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel, in accordance with Elecnor Australia's system expectations, operating standards, and HSSE management manual, statutory requirements, project and client specifications.
Primary Accountabilities: Oversee the safe and effective delivery of stringing activitiesImplementation of HS plans and supporting documentationCommunication of HS issues/standardsCo-ordination of HS initiatives as requiredHS reporting and analysis to Project ManagementHS training and competency assessment, including onboarding and inductionsIncident classification, notification investigation, and closeoutHS Assurance and VerificationHS subcontractor evaluation and support as requiredSkills & Experience: 3 years' experience in engineering and construction industryA minimum of 3 years' experience in occupational health and safetyCompetent level of reporting and analytical experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDriver's LicenseWe're building a diverse workforce.
