Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. In this role, you will ensure that the company maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel, in accordance with Elecnor Australia's system expectations, operating standards, and HSSE management manual, statutory requirements, project and client specifications.
Primary Accountabilities: Oversee the safe and effective delivery of stringing activities Implementation of HS plans and supporting documentation Communication of HS issues/standards Co-ordination of HS initiatives as required HS reporting and analysis to Project Management HS training and competency assessment, including onboarding and inductions Incident classification, notification investigation, and closeout HS Assurance and Verification HS subcontractor evaluation and support as required Skills & Experience: 3 years' experience in engineering and construction industry A minimum of 3 years' experience in occupational health and safety Competent level of reporting and analytical experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Driver's License We're building a diverse workforce.
