You will complete a Certificate IV Work Health and Safety over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Hunter Water.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
Carry out administrative duties to support the Safety Health and Wellbeing team, including updating policies, procedures and risk assessmentsWork with Business Partners to support the safety, health and wellbeing of maintenance teams and contractors across large construction projects.Perform general office duties such as inputting data, managing calendars, communicating via email and phone, and assisting with meetings.Attend safety committee meetings, recording meeting notes as per organisational requirements.Carry out other duties that are within the limits of trainee skills, competence and ability as required.What you'll bring to the table: To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:
Commitment to both on and off the job training.Show enthusiasm in the Work Health and Safety area.Willingness to learn, follow instructions and work well in a team environment.Ability to research, evaluate and present a range of complex tasks.Mandatory Requirements: Current Construction industry induction card (White card), or willingness to obtain prior to employment.Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.About Zeal Futures: Zeal Futures provides the ultimate training and employment experience.
