Position overview allnex invites you join us as a SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager in Wacol QLD, you'll play a key role in ensuring that we not only meet government safety, health, and environmental regulations but also go above and beyond in upholding allnex's commitment to a safe and healthy workplace. You'll be the driving force behind creating an environment where everyone can thrive—protecting our people, our operations, and the world around us.

Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all SHE-related governmental regulations, internal standards, and allnex's SHE policies, including security protocols. Optimize workplace safety by fostering a healthy environment for employees and minimizing operational impacts on the environment. Implement and maintain SHE Management Systems (SHE MS) and Global allnex systems, ensuring they are always up to date and effective. Taking overall responsibility and accountability for Process Safety Management System (PSM) implementation. Manage incident investigations in collaboration with plant managers, investigating SHE incidents and near misses. Develop corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate future risks. Identify and deliver SHE training programs to ensure the team is informed, prepared, and aligned with best practices. Handle emergency responses as the primary contact for site emergencies, including spills, fires, or injuries. Maintain permits and certifications required for site operations, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Act as the site management representative for these systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas like personal safety, process safety, health, and environmental protection. Conduct regulatory audits as necessary to ensure full compliance with local, regional, and global standards. Submit required reports to regulatory agencies in a timely and accurate manner. Required skills and experience 5 years of experience in SHE and/or quality management, specifically within a chemical manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of Process Safety Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health practices. Strong interest in chemical processes and a passion for safety and quality. Solid knowledge of local and regional regulations governing safety, health, and the environment. Holds all necessary government licenses. Demonstrates strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of guiding teams. Adopts a hands-on approach to problem-solving and daily operations. Experienced in working within a global environment, navigating diverse teams and regulations. Proven experience working with auditors and regulatory officials, ensuring compliance and successful interactions. Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Strong communication skills. Ability to implement proactive safety strategies. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in SHE management systems and relevant software tools. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
