Golding is currently seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environment Advisor at the Phosphate Hill Mine located near Mt Isa in central west Queensland. This role will operate on a 5/2 roster, Fly in from Townsville Monday, out Thursday and work from home on Friday. Camp accommodation will be provided during the working week.Reporting to the Specialist HSET, the successful candidate will have the capability to handle multiple complex situations simultaneously and a demonstrated record in positively influencing key stakeholders. Additionally, the ability and willingness to complete other HSET tasks is a must, such as incident investigations, risk assessments, observations and assisting line managers.Key role tasks: Facilitate and develop risk assessments in alignment with the project's schedule of works.Develop, schedule and champion a project specific HSE Monitoring Program directly informed by completed, activity specific risk assessments.Facilitate and report on incident investigationsMonitor the effectiveness of the application of the Safety and Health, Environment and Training Management Plans on site and provide advice to the Project Manager on possible improvement initiatives.Notify, classify and record in the incident database all incidents that occur on the project such that a complete and accurate incident record exists;Conduct audits, inspections and observations to demonstrate visible safety leadership and sound audit practice;Monitor and report on the implementation of project HSE and Training management plans and the HSET Activity Planner (including identified corrective actions) to the Project Manager as required; andMaintain all project HSET registers such that they are accurate and up to dateContribute to HSE risk based content within planned project communication forums.Assess compliance with site access requirements and facilitate inductions technical input into investigation reports and lead significant investigations where required.Develop content, provide input, and where required deliver HSET information (including inductions), in accordance with the requirements of the sustainability systems.Contribute to broader Golding HSE improvement programs. Key capability requirements: Relevant Diploma level qualification or equivalent experienceMinimum two years mining site-based experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and facilitate risk assessments associated with mining work.Experience in auditing, incident reporting and incident investigation is must.
