Acciona Construction Australia has partnered with Georgiou Group to deliver the first stage of the Gold Coast's largest road infrastructure project. The project will involve construction of six new bridge structures in an environment with unique geotechnical conditions and challenging interfacing on a gazetted green-field site.
You will have the opportunity to take on a varied and exciting role delivering the first stage of an important region-shaping project.
As a Safety Coordinator you will be supported by Safety Advisors and the Safety Manager in performing you duties including:
Develop and review SWMS and Permits.
Create and enter reports into the HSEQ system
Identify workplace hazards and assess risks. Implement measures to reduce and prevent risks.
Onboard plant and equipment
Investigate accidents and safety incidents and recommend corrective actions for prevention.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards by undertaking necessary audits.
Maintain records, reports, and safety documentation.
Influence a positive and proactive safety culture
Required Skills and Competencies Demonstrated experience in safety and compliance
Experience in implementing Safety training programs
Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar
Provide First Aid (Level 2), ensuring this certificate is current at all times.
