Kennedy Drilling are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Training Advisor to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
This residential full-time role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety programs and training initiatives to support our operations in the mining, resources and energy industry.
What you'll be doing Developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practicesConducting regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and address potential hazardsProviding training and support to employees on safe work practices, the use of personal protective equipment, and emergency response proceduresCollaborating with managers and supervisors to foster a strong safety culture and promote a proactive approach to health and safetyMaintaining accurate records and reporting on safety performance metrics to key stakeholdersStaying up to date with changes in legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to health, safety, and environmentResponsible for the training and assessing of all exploration workers onsite - VOCWhat we're looking for Qualifications in Workplace Health and SafetyExperience in a safety and training role, preferably in the mining, resources or energy sectorStrong knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levelsProven track record in developing and implementing successful safety programs and training initiativesProficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and data analysisDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to safety managementWhat we offer Competitive salary packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancementSupportive and collaborative work environmentFlexible work arrangements to support work-life balanceAbout us Kennedy Drilling is a locally owned and operated exploration drilling company and has been operating in the Goldfields for over 40 years.
